Disneyland!

To celebrate our birthdays this year, we decided to go to Disneyland. We actually went on Rick's birthday, July 17th(which is also Disneyland's birthday). We were very excited to take Reed for his first time. We went early and were able ride the carosel and It's a Small World without waiting in line. We ran into Goofy, who Reed was very excited to see even though he has no idea who Goofy is! We also went into the California Adventure park where Reed was able to play in a small water park. I think he would have stayed all day if we would have let him. And, we got annual passes so the we can take short trips over there during the year.

Misc.

Tana and Reed hang out at our housewarming party. Aren't they cute?!
Playing at the waterpark.

Can't get enough of the water!

More Michigan...

Cousin David and Reed were fast friends. They played with that bus for about 20 minutes. Thanks David and Allison!

The zoo crew!

Reed had fun walking arounf Michigan State's campus. This was taken right before we were told we shouldn't be in the stadium. OOPS!

This is the house Rick lived in when he was little.

Michigan Trip

In May we flew to Michigan to see Rick's family, my sister and brother-in-law and attend Maggie and Luke's baptism. We had a great time. Reed was an excellent traveler and felt right at home at Nana and Papa's house!

Catching Up

Well, I have quite a bit to catch up on since the last post. Here's a couple highlights- We signed Reed up for a kiddie gym class through the city. His motor skills improved alot and he loved it, especially the trampoline. I only went on with him once and we could hardly keep him off of it after that!He had his first official haircut. Here's before:And after:
He is a true California kid. He loves the water! We went down to Laguna one hot weekend and he kept wanting to go back in the water even though it was freezing(at least to me it was).

First Christmas

Since this year was Reed's first Christmas, it put a different perspective on the day. It was so much fun watching him react to everything! He did pretty well opening presents, although he was usually more interested in the paper than what was inside. Elmo was a big hit though. After spending the morning at home, we spent the rest of Christmas Day at my parents' house and especially enjoyed having Auntie Molly and Uncle Rob in town.
